Our Kindergarteners had a visit today from the Morton Arboretum! This visit extended student learning from their ELA modules about trees. Thank you to the Mokena Educational Foundation for sponsoring this experience for our students.

Our Kindergarteners are applying all that they have learned about letters, sounds, and words to read books! Thank you to the Mokena Educational Foundation for donating sets of decodable books to our Kindergarten classrooms.

We are "hopping" with pride for our 3rd graders as they finished creating a "Freaky Frog Book" that contained numerous writing pieces including pourquoi narratives and informational writing about frogs. They also created a frog trading card with a detailed scientific drawing, basic facts learned through their research, and scores for various features such as poison and camouflage.
Join us for the annual ArtWorks Festival at Lincoln-Way East on Saturday, March 16th from 10am-3pm, showcasing artwork from MES, MIS, and MJHS!
1st grade and 3rd grade buddies held a celebration of learning with each other today. 1st graders shared their expert writing about birds and 3rd graders shared the writing pieces inside their "Freaky Frog Books". Great work!
Our students have worked SO HARD to prepare for the musical and can't wait for their first performance tonight at 7:00 pm! They also perform Saturday, March 2 at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
