Our first graders were visited today by local Mokena historians, Mr. and Mrs. Horas, who shared primary sources (photos and artifiacts) and information about what schools were like long ago in Mokena. Students have been studying schools long go and today as part of their social studies curriculum and this visited connected their learning to our own town's history! It was a wonderful experience and they all learned so much from their research!
