Deb, the Frog Lady, visited third graders today to teach students all about frogs, metamorphosis, and the difference between warm-blooded and cold-blooded animals. She specializes in hepatology and used to work as a naturalist for the forest preserve. Thank you, Deb!

Third graders completed their ELA Module 1 Performance Task this week! Students synthesized their thinking and writing about their own personal reading challenges and possible strategies to overcome those challenges by creating an eye-catching bookmark listing the strategies. Students will keep their bookmarks in their books at school as a reminder. Great work, Stars!

Third grade students are working in groups to record an audiobook to assess reading fluency. As a step in the process, students worked in pairs to practice their excerpt and provide a peer critique with feedback related to the fluency criteria they generated as a class!
