All the feels today on the first day of Kinderbuddies! Our 8th graders and kindergarteners had a wonderful morning getting to know eachother with an all about me craft and the creation of a buddy handshake! We can't wait to see these impactful relationships grow throughout the year!

3rd grade students in Mrs. Janes' social studies class created a three-dimensional model of the Earth as part of their first lesson in our new social studies program! These geographers had to add and label important geographical features they have been studying such as continents, oceans, and the compass rose!

Mrs. Macie's 1st graders started their first lesson in our new Social Studies program! Students are exploring basic concepts of civics through the familiar setting of the classroom as they learn about working and learning together at school! Great work, Stars!

Today, Mrs. Helsel’s class began their first lesson in our reading and writing program, EL Education! They kicked off the new module by listening to a “Mission letter” and exploring some puzzle pieces given to them as a clue for what they will be learning about. Students had to solve the picture puzzles collaboratively then use the “think-pair-share” protocol to discuss with their partner what they noticed about the puzzle pieces. Great job, 1st graders!
