It features a pig who comes to see,
That friendship can change everything, you’ll agree!

A tale of farm animals who talk with delight,
And a main little hero with eight legs in sight!

1st graders wrapped up their Social Studies unit "Who Works At Your School?" by interviewing someone who works inside MES to learn more about their job and how they help the school. Students prepared interview questions that would help them better learn about the job, invited their guests to a class period, and asked their guest the interview questions. Each class then created a riddle with three clues about the work the special person does for the other classes to guess who the person might be! Students finished the project by writing thank you notes to their MES worker telling him or her how they help the school.

First grade astronomers and astronauts had an out-of-this-world experience the past two days! They stepped inside the StarLab and explored the stars, planets, and constellations to extend the learning from their ELA module. Thank you to the Mokena PTA for sponsoring this stellar in-house extension!
